Service Description

In Chakra Yoga, we enjoy a nourishing yoga practice of asanas, visualization, and energy and breath work. The chakras are believed to be the centers of life force energy in the body. The body contains seven major chakras from the base of the spine (root) to the top of the head (crown). Chakras can be overactive or underactive. When out of balance, a chakras will manifest in the physical body, thoughts, and emotions. By working with these energy centers in yoga practice, we can begin to unravel any blocks that may prevent the unfolding into our highest potential. Each of these chakras contains a different energy. Each week, we will focus on one chakra, starting from the base of the spine and moving up to the crown. On the 8th class, we will practice a root to crown full chakra balancing class. 1/8 • Root - Stability, grounding, secure physically and emotionally (No Class 1/15) 1/22 • Sacral - Self worth, pleasure, creativity, sexuality 1/29 • Solar Plexus - Personal power, self-esteem, confidence, strength (No Class 2/5) 2/12 • Heart - Love, connection, openness, compassion, joy 2/19 • Throat - Personal integrity, speaking your truth, healthy boundaries 2/26 • Third Eye - Intuition, awareness, wisdom, self-realization 3/4 • Crown - Enlightenment, purpose, spirituality 3/11 • Full Chakra Balancing Class The pacing of this class is gentle. All levels welcome. In classes, we may use essential oils and gemstones that correspond to the chakra of focus. Friendly reminder to bring your yoga mat. If you don't have one, you're welcome to borrow one in class. Class takes place at Yoga Barn on Mondays, 6:50-7:50P.
