Gretchen strives to create an accepting and empowering environment for everyone in her classes. She loves to turn up the music and flow and find new ways to challenge her students both physically and mentally! When you leave one of Gretchen’s classes she wants you to feel a little bit more like you, discovering and honoring your most authentic self.
Gretchen started practicing yoga regularly after a knee injury in 2016. She fell in love with finding a way to be in connection with her mind and body through movement on her mat. She completed her 200hr yoga and yoga sculpt teacher training in 2018 with CorePower Yoga in Baltimore. She soon after, quit her corporate job and taught full time, completing her 300hr yoga certification with Maka Movement in 2019. She took some time off teaching to have her two girls (1.5 and 3yrs old) and is excited to be sharing movement and space with students again!
When Gretchen isn’t teaching, she likes to spend time with her family, taking her girls to new playgrounds, turning up Alexa for a dance party, or snuggling in for movie night with homemade popcorn.
She also loves finding ways to connect people within our community. If you have an idea for a workshop or would like to partner for an event, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
