Frolic with the Fox on Fridays

Join the Annapolis’s own musical gem, the magical Frolic the Fox for "Singy-Songy-Storytimes" full of movement, mindfulness, social-emotional goodness and original songs written to engage the whole body, spark imagination and give you tools for gently guiding children. This class is for adult and child. Original songs by Kathryn Para (Frolic’s Human Form) are used in classrooms, childcare and homes across the country as “GuideNotes: Song as a Tool for Teaching and Guiding Young Children."

ALL LEVELS VINYASA

All levels of vinyasa is a sequential pose practice designed to progressively open the body. Each pose builds upon the previous, evolving into a deeper or more advanced posture as the practice unfolds. This class is accessible to all bodies. Offering  variations for any level experience, playing up to the experienced yogi or offering modifications for the beginner. We help you to meet your body where it is, pair breath with movement and align the body and the mind for a flow state experience. 

BE WELL SLOW FLOW

A feel-good slow flow for nervous system nourishment. Incorporating knowledge from Ayurveda, Yoga’s sister science, we’ll move and breathe with grounding intentions to activate the parasympathetic nervous system for mind-body relaxation. Less fight or flight mode, more rest and digest mode as we clear the day away. A slow flow for all levels, but also curated to support pre-natal and postpartum Mamas. Let’s be well together!

BE WELL SOLAR FLOW

A strengthening vinyasa flow to tap into your solar energy. Incorporating knowledge from Ayurveda, Yoga’s sister science, we’ll move and groove to build heat from the inside out through breath and mindful exploratory movement. We’ll ground for nervous system nourishment, work to break a sweat to activate the lymphatic system, and we’ll practice with equal parts determination and ease to meet ourselves where we’re at for the day. Let's be well together!

BE WELL VINYASA FLOW

An all-levels vinyasa flow to tap into your solar energy and inner awareness. Incorporating knowledge from Ayurveda, Yoga’s sister science, we’ll move and groove to build heat from the inside out through breath and mindful exploratory movement. We’ll practice with equal parts determination and ease to meet ourselves where we’re at for the day. Let's flow and be well together!

FOCUSED FRIDAY FLOW

Just what the doctor ordered to end the work week. This class will smooth the nervous system while enhancing the skeletal and muscular system. Enjoy a mix of yoga flow with strength and ample amount of breathing space, inviting more peace in. You will leave feeling focused and relaxed, ready for weekend vibes. All levels welcome.

FLOW + RESTORE

This 75 min. hybrid sequence is the perfect compliment to your Yoga practice! You’ll begin with an energizing and balanced vinyasa yoga flow that is designed to support additional flexibility while continuing to build strength. The practice will transition to 30 minutes of Restorative Yoga; an introspective, slower-paced, meditative style of yoga used to drop the body into stillness while we work to quiet the mind. During this portion, these supportive floor poses will support your body and nourish your mind.

Hatha Yoga (WARM)

“Ha” means sun and “ta” means moon. A Hatha Yoga class aims to balance these two energies. This class will include active and restful postures to leave you feeling whole. Expect to practice asana (yoga postures), pranayama (breathwork), and meditation.  The Barn will be heated 80-85 during class. 

SUNDAY SOUL FLOW

Recenter and recalibrate your true north at Sunday Soul Flow. In this class, we come back to the essentials to feel our aliveness. Society may be telling us that we need more, always more, but when we take a pause to check in with ourselves, we can create the space to receive the miracle of this moment. Through music, movement and breath, you will feel your heart open wide to realize on the most foundational level that — you are enough.

THERAPEUTIC YOGA

Drop in deep with mindful movement anchored by energy and breath work. Individual needs are addressed as we co-create your yoga prescription for health and freedom. Beginners and students working through injury or physical limitations will feel extra supported in this class. 

VINYASA EXPRESS

Enjoy a 45 min. flow of creatively sequenced poses (asanas) that link conscious breath to fluid movement.  Awaken your strength, energy and flexibility through embodied awareness and mindfulness.  This class is great for beginners, as well as experienced students. 

VINYASA YOGA FLOW

This 60 min. practice elevates your energy and grounds your body, mind and soul.  All levels and all bodies are invited to experience energetic fluid movement through a series of asanas (yoga postures). You will be guided to move with breath, creating an even greater sense of flow, strength, ease and tension release. 

VINYASA POWER FLOW

Let’s flow! This class will guide you through energetic and quick flowing sequences, with a dynamic mix of postures. It will allow you to release stress, while still building strength and gaining flexibility. All levels welcome, as modifications are always offered!

WELL ROUNDED VINYASA FLOW

We start with some feel good stretches and mobility work, and then casually flow into through poses, syncing the body and breathe, muscles and movement, in order to achieve a well rounded workout that leaves you feeling stronger and more balanced.

YIN YOGA

In Chinese medicine there is the concept of Yin and Yang, which are opposite and complementary principles in nature. In terms of the human body, Yin represents the stable, connective tissues like the ligaments, tendons, and fascia and Yang represents the changing, more pliable muscles and blood in the body. Yin yoga is beneficial when practiced both alone or when paired with a more yang practice like, vinyasa yoga. In this class you will learn the basic principles of Yin yoga and how to safely practice these longer held poses that will target the deep connective tissues of the body. Each pose is held for about 2-3 minutes, so that beneficial amount of stress is put on the tissue so that your body will respond by strengthening and lengthening it.

YOGA FOUNDATIONS

Our Foundations classes are designed for students new to yoga as well as seasoned practitioners who want to refine their technique and refresh their understanding of the fundamentals. Through mindful work and attention to breath, students will learn proper alignment in basic postures. This class is also appropriate for Prenatal clients.
